Auditions for Vicuña by Jon Robin Baitz

Zeitgeist Stage announces auditions for roles in their fall production 2018, Vicuña by Jon Robin Baitz. Auditions are Sunday & Monday, July 29 & 30 at the Plaza Black Box Theater at the Boston Center for the Arts.


A tailor to the wealthy, powerful, and famous struggles to serve a very unusual client: a blustering real-estate tycoon and reality-TV star who—to everyone’s surprise—becomes a major party’s nominee for president. As the election spins out of control, the tailor and his apprentice are forced to examine their roles as confidants and image-makers for the candidate…and whether the right suit has the power to clinch the presidency.

Performance Dates:

Wednesday through Sunday, September 14 through October 6, 2018 at the Plaza Black Box Theater at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St, Boston.

First week of August. Schedule is Sunday through Thursday evenings. May include some day rehearsals on Saturday & Sunday during August.

• Anselm Kassar, M, 50-75, Middle Eastern/Jewish tailor/ethnic looking

• Kurt Seaman, M, 50 – 70, Presidential candidate, think Trump but smarter and more eloquent

• Amir Masoud, M, 20-40, intern to the tailor, Middle Eastern/Muslim/ethnic looking

• Sri-Lanka Seaman, F, 20-40, daughter of presidential candidate, campaign manager, think Ivanka Trump but smarter and more eloquent

• Kitty Finch-Gibbon, F, 40-60, old school Republican Senator, rich, upper-class, think Susan Collins

Sunday & Monday, July 29 & 30 from 7 to 9:00 PM


Plaza Black Box Theater at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St in Boston’s South End.


Open to Non-Equity performers. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. There is a stipend for actors. The script is published, and available through both Samuel French and Dramatists Play Service.
