Auditions for Love! Valour! Compassion! by Terrance McNally

Zeitgeist Stage announces auditions for roles in their spring production 2018, Love! Valour! Compassion! by Terrance McNally. Auditions are Sunday & Monday, January 14 & 15 at the Boston Center for the Arts.


The setting is at a lakeside summer vacation house in Dutchess County, two hours north of New York City where eight gay friends spend the three major holiday weekends of one summer together for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. The house belongs to Gregory, a successful Broadway choreographer now approaching middle age, who fears he is losing his creativity; and his twenty-something lover, Bobby, a legal assistant who is blind. Each of the guests at their house is connected to Gregory’s work in one way or another.

Performance Dates:

Wednesday through Sunday, April 27 thru May 19, 2018 at the Plaza Theater at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St, Boston.

Rehearsal Location:

Room 204, Rehearsal Space, Boston Center for the Arts.

Rehearsal Start Date:

Mid-March. Schedule is Sunday through Thursday evenings. May include some day rehearsals on Saturday & Sunday during March.

Open to Non-Equity performers. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. There is a stipend for actors. The script is published, and available through both Samuel French and Dramatists Play Service.
